It’s nearly Christmas and we are getting excited here at the Drumanilra Farm Kitchen! This year we have been busier than ever sourcing lovely goodies to sell in the farm shop including organic Bronze Turkeys and Dry Cure Hams from own Drumanilra Organic Farm and organic Geese from Barlow’s Organic Farm in Castlrea. For the first time, we have been making our own Christmas cakes, mince pies, Christmas puddings, cranberry sauce and much more in the Drumanilra Farm Kitchen, all by hand and all with organic fruit, flour and eggs! We will also be stocking a great range of artisan cheeses, quince and fig pastes, gourmet chocolates, panettone and organic smoked salmon from artisan food producers around the country!
We have some lovely events coming up through December too. On December 13th, Santa will be dropping into our Christmas Family Morning at the cafe from 10.30am to 12, and he will be back again on December 16th for the Drumanilra Christmas Fair! At the Christmas Fair, we will have farm animals in the garden, a Christmas treasure hunt, gift hamper wrapping, gingerbread decorating, Visit with Santa, Christmas crafts and much more. Finally, we are looking forward to our Christmas Supper Nights when we will be serving a 4 course Christmas menu featuring ingredients from Drumanilra Organic Farm.
